3 FORMS OF GIVING
1. Tithe : This is 10% of the first-fruits of your labor, given to the church Or ministry that you attend regularly.
" One gives freely, yet grows all the richer; another withholds what he should give, and only suffers want." Proverbs 11:24.
2. Offering: This is given outside of the tithe to your local church, extra money given for speakers or causes. The principle here is to plant a seed, name the seed that you are planting & watch God honor your planting.
"You shall give to him freely, and your heart shall not be grudging when you give to him , because for this the Lord will bless you in all your work and in all that you undertake." Deut. 15:10
3. Alms: Need based, you see a person that has a need or you just want to bless someone's socks off, paying it forward.
" Take heed that you do not alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise you have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.....But when you do alms, let not the left hand know what the right hand does: that the alms may be in secret: and the Father which sees in secret himself shall reward you openly." Matthew 6:1-4
In all this, we must establish in our hearts that the man of God that brings you revelation & manna from heaven is worthy of his hire. Throughout scripture references are made concerning giving generously, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be poured into your lap.
